Recognition

(Shrine of Baha'u'llah at Night)

Here is another poem inspired by the Life and Mission of Baha'u'llah, Founder of the Baha'i Faith. It's called Recognition.

All praise be to God for creating

this son of spirit

Hand crafted in Heaven long before B joined E forming

the “me” that would learn to love and know Thee

in this daily moment witnessing my weakness in the

presence of Your Power my utter

poverty compared to Your possession of

the entire Creation Desire of all nations

Promised Prophet

I almost missed You in Your new attire

fashioned for the future rather than a past

imitated blindly by those who pray for

Your advent, but object to Your garments

They demand miracles

but the true proof are those

people Your Word has transformed

from nothing to something

sacred copper transmuted to gold

in the fire of tests sent to benefit

the ignorant like myself whose

veils were lifted long enough to

recognize the Face of the Promised One

of All Faiths and discover my

place in God’s Plan
