Best of 2008

What a year it has been. For me of course the best thing that happened was the arrival of our son Douglass Ali. His every little breath is a miracle! This was also a good year for Baha'i Thought. I believe that I've done my best blogging this past year since I dedicated my keypad to this effort 3.5 years ago. I've traditionally ended the Gregorian year with a compilation of what I considered to be nine of my best posts. Here goes.

1. How Does It Feel To Be A Solution

2. Racism: It's Not All In Your Head

3. Ridvan: Paradise is Political

4. Poverty: Enemy of Stability

5. Dark Knight of the Soul

6. Politics: The Acceptable Prejudice?

7. There Is No Spoon

8. Who Are We Anyway?

9. The Discourse of Disunity

  1. A good selection of posts from your excellent blog, Phillipe. Sadly a couple of the links seem to be broken:

    6. Politics: The Acceptable Prejudice?

    8. Who are we anyway?

Both of them throw up 404 errors.

  2. Barney, thanks for the heads up. I believe I have fixed the problem. Now back to my Diet Pepsi.

  4. In regards to "There is No Spoon"...

Beautiful...I personally love this line and scene from the film. Thanks for placing it as a 'top nine' so that I didn't miss it.

  5. Hey Phillipe. This is Gian Zolfonoon... maybe you dont remember me but you taught me when i was childrens classes. Anyways, I have a Catholic Haitian friend that wants someone who has background in Christianity to talk to them about the Baha'i Faith. I was given your number but i seem to have lost it. Do you think you would be able to help me? You can email me at and we can discuss from there i suppose

  6. Hey greetings from malaysia!
