Douglass Ali, along with Baha'is from around the globe, celebrated the 12th Day of Ridvan in Boston last night. It was a lovely program including gospel and classical music, a meditative multi-media presentation of images and live music, a clever presentation of the Life and Station of Baha'u'llah by a former Boston Globe journalist and the recitation of the following verse from Baha'i scripture in English, French, German, Spanish, Farsi, and Arabic:
The betterment of the world can be accomplished through pure and goodly deeds, through commendable and seemly conduct....
(Bahá'u'lláh, cited in "The Advent of Divine Justice", pp. 24-25)
Things were a bit hectic so we did not get as many pictures as we had hoped but here are a few. As usual Douglass Ali attracted many admirers, including the three Baha'i sweethearts featured in the first photo.
Baha'i Dad Chronicles will continue to document Douglass Ali's journey through a year of Baha'i holy days and other developmental milestones. Stay tuned.
