Baha'i Dad Chronicles: 7 Months+

Douglass Ali has been on the planet for 7 months (not counting the pre-birth months of course). His powers continue to expand exponentially. He has started pulling himself up to a standing position and taking a step or two. He's still trying to figure out crawling, but his legs seem to want to stand up instead so he ends up tumbling onto his face when he tries to crawl. I'm thinking he may skip the crawling and go straight to walking. He has three teeth now and is making the move to simple solid foods like Cheerios. He is quite tenacious which is no surprise given his family tree. When he sets his mind on something he does not stop until he achieves it, or his parents intervene. No object in reach is safe from his lightning fast hands, vice-like grip and steel trap jaws! He is in constant motion when he is awake and has to be watched like a hawk. Heaven help us once he starts walking. In general he is bigger and longer and a bit stocky looking like a little boy and less like a little baby. Who he looks more like is still an object of debate among family and friends though I think that he has Orloff cheeks for certain and Copeland stoicism when he is not smiling (very serious looking!). He has been having fun with this wild activity center thing and is quite taken with a certain basket.

These children are neither Oriental nor Occidental, neither Asiatic nor American, neither European nor African, but they are of the Kingdom; their native home is heaven and their resort is the Kingdom of ABHA.
