Hot Bloggin': Ridvan 2010

"Arise, and proclaim unto the entire creation the tidings that He Who is the All-Merciful hath directed His steps towards the Ridvan and entered it. Guide, then, the people unto the garden of delight which God hath made the Throne of His Paradise. We have chosen thee to be our most mighty Trumpet, whose blast is to signalize the resurrection of all mankind." (Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 30)

Baha'is around the world are in the closing days of the 12 holiest in their calendar, the Festival of Ridvan. This period commemorates the public declaration by Baha'u'llah in 1863 of His station as God's Messenger for this age and the Promised One Whose advent has been prophesied by all past religions:

"The Revelation which, from time immemorial, hath been acclaimed as the Purpose and Promise of all the Prophets of God, and the most cherished Desire of His Messengers, hath now, by virtue of the pervasive Will of the Almighty and at His irresistible bidding, been revealed unto men. The advent of such a Revelation hath been heralded in all the sacred Scriptures." (Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 5)

In honor of this special time, I wanted to dedicate this edition of Hot Bloggin' to providing a round-up of posts from Baha'i blogs about Ridvan. Here they go:
