Also, the suggestion of scrambled eggs was one I used this morning -plus a little cheese. In addition, i had my usual bowl of cooked oatmeal with a large spoonful of almond butter and some blueberries mixed in with a little vanilla rice milk. I also drink two glasses of water and a cup of peppermint tea. Getting enough water is always the hardest for me. Getting up early enough to be able to make room for the food and water is important. Another way to compensate for thirst during the fast is to take a refreshing nap during the day if there is time. It's great when we can take useful suggestions from others about how to cope with the fast. Of course when desire for food and water tend to overwhelm us, spiritual food helps to offset these wants. Listening to the right music often lifts me away from tiredness and hunger and thirst as well. I hope someone else can use these suggestions.

Rich

Fasting is going well for the most part for me. My strategy is to avoid fat and salt in heavy doses, and this seems to keep me from being hungry and thirsty. Thanks for your comments, I look forward to them each day.

Phillipe, thanks for sharing these delightful blog...

Phillipe, thanks for sharing these delightful blogs! Fast usually goes very well for me, with little distraction with food and other material comforts. My greatest worldly enjoyment during Fast is that of sharing it with my husband. Tuesday I had a tooth extracted and, due to pain medication, have had to eat during the day. I think today will be ok.
I have been turned on to Greek yogurt, which is all I have eaten for the last few days in the morning. I hear it has more protein than regular yogurt.

mmm mmm good...
