Good questions, my understanding is that ironically the aversive prejudice identified among blacks in such research is toward other blacks as much as whites. That would be interesting, as I suggest that the results would be similar, though for different reasons -- the black jurists might conclude that a white candidate was superior because of an inherited bias against their own "race" (colorism might also play a role). Just a theory, but racism is alive in all communities, whites have no corner on the market. Even Jesse Jackson once wrote that if he is walking alone on a city street at night and hears footsteps behind him, he is relieved if he finds that they were from white, not black, youths.<BR/><BR/>Using a term such as "averse racism" is refreshing. Lately, the phrase "racially sensitive", which is ambiguous at best, has been morphed to serve as a pleasant euphemism for "prejudiced based on color".
