Congratulations and a very happy birthday! Of course, it's all downhill from here - no, not really. <br /><br />Having got to the grand old age of 59, I have eventually understood that we're all going in the same direction, that it's not a unique achievement of mine to have had 21st, 25th, 30th, ,40th and 50th birthdays. I see that my children are going that way, and that my grandchildren are growing older rapidly.<br /><br />I can't believe it's taken me so long to understand this, but being a grandparent has given me a certain perspective. I do recall being inordinately proud to have reached my 30th birthday, but that's so stupid.
