It was recommended reading for my "Race, Ethnicity and Inequality" class. On the heels of the statements made by the famous Dr. Watson just a few weeks ago, and with the releasing of the results of Pew's longitudinal study on African American's perspectives on equality and achievement in the US (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=16268226), I don't know whether to be sad or down right "pissed off." All they are saying is what people are thinking, and I frankly get tired of thinking about what people are thinking that they aren't saying!!! God! That felt good to write... no matter how nonsensical it was. LOL. The question is, "Will neoconservatives back down all this anthropological race talk with their "race is JUST a sociological construct" and "if we stop talking about race, it will no longer exist” talk? OR will they scrap it all and confess "we were just kidding!"

Your blogs re intelligence and race are thought pr...

Your blogs re intelligence and race are thought provoking. Thank you. Isn't it true that judging between individuals, or even between groups of people, has limited value when compared to forging bonds between people who can then work together to achieve progress? If we're intent on comparing and judging, maybe the pivotal principle of oneness enters into this mix?<BR/><BR/>'Abdu'l-Baha, addressing the subject of reincarnation in "Some Answered Questions" Says: "... the proof of uniqueness exists in all things, and the Oneness and Unity of God is apparent in the reality of all things, the repetition of the same appearance is absolutely impossible." <BR/><BR/>Thank you for mentioning the diversity of forms which intellegence takes. Given 'Abdu'l-Baha's statements on uniqueness, our feeble attempts at standardized intelligence testing seem confounded. It will surely take "the pupil of the eye" of humanity to shed more light on this subject.

I have been reading your blog for a while now and ...

I have been reading your blog for a while now and I admire your work.
